Wagner Community Memorial Hospital (WCMH) held a high-impact, handson trauma training session designed to sharpen critical emergency procedures for frontline providers in the Emergency Department (ED).

10 YEARS AGO 2015 Shopko announced that their Hometown Store in Wagner would be housed in the former Alco building in June. Wagner High School held their 2015 Prom with the theme,“Night on the Boardwalk.

The Avon High School and Community Blood Drive recently proved that real heroes walk among us, as dedicated donors and volunteers came together to provide lifesaving blood donations to patients in need. The event saw an incredible turnout, with 45 donors stepping up to give the gift of life.

Rod Bartunek, 1978 Avon graduate, will participate in the 2025 Run For The Wall’s annual ride. Run For the Wall is the “largest and longest organized cross-country motorcycle run of its kind in the world.

The Avon American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Arthur Wiseman Unit #150 has named their 2025 Girls State representatives. The Auxiliary will be sponsoring three representatives: Katherine Swier, Abby Gretschmann, and Hope Kemnitz. The Springfield Auxiliary will be sponsoring Alexis Vanderlei.

The Wagner Rotarians began their April 2, meeting with our prayer for our club, its members, and our work in the community. We were treated to a delicious meal from Boom’s. It was incorrectly stated in last week’s minutes that we would be having our steak meal catered by Choteau Creek Brewery.

Charles Mix Electric Association of Lake Andes, is proud to announce that Presley Slaba has been chosen as a “Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week” by Dakota News Now. Presley is a senior at Wagner Community School.
