Charles Mix Electric Association of Lake Andes, is proud to announce that Presley Slaba has been chosen as a “Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week” by Dakota News Now. Presley is a senior at Wagner Community School.

Presley will appear on Dakota News’ 6:00 evening news broadcast on Monday, April 14th, and again on the early morning news at 6:00 a.m. the following morning. The segment will highlight many of her accomplishments in the classroom and in her community.

During her high school years, Presley has been active in Oral Interpretation, school plays, track and cross-country, and assists the basketball team as a statistician. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Hope Squad, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and serves on the Student Council. She also participates in yearbook/journalism and performs in the school choir. She will receive a $250 award for her efforts and will be invited to attend a “Scholar of the Year” banquet, where she will be eligible for additional scholarships.

Presley is the daughter of Matt and Mieke Slaba of Wagner. Charles Mix Electric is the Touchstone Energy electric cooperative serving rural Charles Mix County.
