2010 – 10 Years Ago Local law enforcement officers from around the area gathered at Wagner Fire Hall for training on Major Case Investigation and Crime Scene Preservation. Burton Weaver celebrated his 85th birthday on December 17 with a card shower.

2000 – 20 Years Ago Avon Lady Pirates return eight letter winners from last year. Santa Claus made his first appearance this past Saturday night as he wandered the streets in Avon before the Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony.

It has been a crazy-busy year with lots of practices and lots of recordings. But, all of these practices and recordings have finally come to fruition. Many members of the Wagner Oral Interp Team are advancing to the 2020 Oral Interp State Festival.

The Wagner Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting at Juffer Inc. last Thursday to celebrate their move to a new location. Juffer’s recently moved from their Main Street location to their new location at 810 W Highway 46 following a remodel and addition to their new building. 

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting November 29, 2020 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
