MEADOW VIEW MANOR BATHROOM UPDATES COMPLETE
Thanks to the generous donations received this fall, the bathroom updates have been completed for the residents at Meadow View Manor. I had the privilege of meeting with two residents to see what their thoughts of the new recent renovations were.
Cleota Bryan has been a resident at the Manor for almost twelve years now. She said the apartments are "really nice and comfortable". In regards to the newly remodeled bathrooms, she stated that she really likes them. The tubs were changed to an easier accessible walk-in entrance, allowing the ability to also sit down. The counters and medicine cabinets also received a fresh update, adding room for more storage, which Cleota appreciated. Cleota really enjoys living at the Manor and says the convenience of having meals delivered there is really nice. She stated again how living there is very "comfortable".
I then headed next door to have a visit with Irene Kocmich. Irene has been a resident at the Manor for seven years now, she stated that the initial adjustment took some time but that she wouldn't change a thing about making the move there. "It's nice to have other residents here to visit with" she says. She also emphasized the convenience of being able to get their mail and meals delivered right there. She added that, not having to worry about the maintenance of certain things you would typically have to do when owning your home, such as shoveling or mowing is also very nice. She stated that the units are "spacious" but that if she ever were to need more room for family gatherings, that there were other larger spaces made available for family gatherings that residents have acess to. She also mentioned how living at the Manor feels "safe" and that she hopes to see more residents move in.
Irene says she also really likes the updated bathrooms. She has had a history of both knee and hip problems, so having the recent updates, especially to the tubs has made things easier for her in regards to accessibility.
Thank you to both Cleota and Irene for visiting with me and giving me a warm welcome into your homes.
