A while back someone from here, that no longer lives here, made the rare trip back here for a funeral. He hasn’t lived in the Midwest for more than fifty years now so he’s forgotten much.

BIG CHANGES HAPPENING AT LAKE ANDES FARMERS COOP

If you haven’t noticed there have been some big changes going on at the Lake Andes Farmers Coop. Land and a building have been cleared to allow for a new 116 foot outdoor scale. The scale has been set in place and the Coop plans to have it operational for small grain harvest in a few weeks.

If your children missed Summer Programming at the Library last week it is not too late to join us! In order to attend the Incentive trip in Yankton at the conclusion of programming a student must attend 21 of the 30 sessions and complete a summer reading program.

100th BIRTHDAY

Rotary News

President-Elect Becky Brunsing rang the bell with a “soft” ring (compared to President Bryan Slaba) on Wednesday, June 8th in Slaba’s absence. Our two Rotarian Pastors were also absent, so Brunsing asked Rotarian Ken Cotton to offer a prayer which he did quite nicely.

73RD ANNUAL CZECH DAYS TO BE HELD IN TABOR ONJUNE 17 AND 18, 2022

Merriam’s Midway Shows carnival on the midway and the Craft Fair & Sue Souhrada Memorial Quilt Show in the school gym kick off the 73rd Annual Czech Days celebration on Thursday, June 16th. The Tabor Bluebirds baseball game with Lesterville will be at 7:30 p.m.
