If your children missed Summer Programming at the Library last week it is not too late to join us! In order to attend the Incentive trip in Yankton at the conclusion of programming a student must attend 21 of the 30 sessions and complete a summer reading program. The subject of the programming is as follows: Mondays-Gardening Activities, Tuesdays-Food and Fun Activities, Wednesdays – Craft Day, Thursdays-STEAM activities, Fridays -Movie Day and Find a Book for the Weekend Activities.

Children ages K-2nd grade have programming at 1:00-1:50 and 3rd-5th graders 2:00-2:45, older than 5th grade 3:00- 3:45. The library has special projects for those “older than 5th grade students”.

July 14th 10am-12pm, thelibrary will host Michael Albert, an Artist from New York City who will present a “Collage” workshop at the Community Center on Main Street. Visit his website at www.michaelalbert.com for examples of his work. Mr. Albert has sent a collection of his posters to hand out to anyone before the presentation, posters will be available at the library as long as they last. Mr. Albert would like people to save food packaging made of lightweight cardboard as that is the material used to construct your personal poster at the workshop. You may bring your packaging to the library or bring with you when you attend the workshop. The workshop is free of charge and brought to Lake Andes by a grant from the Stephanie Davis grant.
