A sweet baby boy, Ryder Richard Beeson, was born to Sarah and Josh Beeson on May 18th at Faith Regional in Norfolk, NE weighing 7 lbs 6 oz. The proud grandparents' are Cletus and Julie Wiechmann of Wagner and Terry and Belinda Beeson of Dante.

Wagner Rotary met on Wednesday, June 15th with President Bryan Slaba back in the saddle again. Rotarian/Pastor Laurie Kidd led us once again in prayer asking for protection for all those who have no shelter from our heat wave that is coming. Thanks was given for our food and fellowship.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, June 24 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution until further notice.

The Avon All School Reunion Committee would like to thank the community and the alumni for an amazing reunion. Without the participation of everybody & the weather, the weekend wouldn’t have been a success.

The 62nd Biennial Convention of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) South Dakota District was held June 3 and 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yankton.

The 64th meeting of the Oorlog reunion was called to order by President Mike Oorlog at the Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton, Sunday June 12. The group of 69 people enjoyed a potluck dinner with delicious chicken from JoDeans.
