Construction on the Library meeting at 500 Main Street is complete except for replacement of the front door, which will hopefully be completed soon. The Library will be open for patrons beginning on Monday, Oct. 24th at 1:00. There will be limited hours on both Tuesday the 25th and Thurs.

The American Legion Auxiliary, Greer Post #11 is honoring Leo Novak as October Veteran of the month. Novak is a Veteran of the Vietnam War having enlisted in the National Guard in 1958 after graduating from high school. This was Leo's first time being away from home.

Greer Unit #11, American Legion Auxiliary met on October 20, 2022 at the post home with 16 members present. President Linda Youngbluth called the meeting to order. Chaplin Margie Stone read the opening prayer. The pledge of allegiance and Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, October 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution.
