The performance of the Missoula Children's Theatre's Hansel and Gretel will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Mary Indian School in the new gym. The cast of 50 to 60 will be picked from students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a State Fallen Hero Bridge Dedication Ceremony to honor U.S. Navy Seaman Second Class Wayne Bridge. The ceremony will be Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.

The Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 for its regular weekly meeting. President Rachael Woods welcomed everyone. Rotarian Pastor Bill Heermann offered up thanks. Rotarian Juffer then led us in singing our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner.

The Avon Oral Interp team competed at the KarlE.MundtOralInterpretationTournament at DSU on Saturday, October 22nd. Ashley Tolsma placed third in the grand finals. The Avon team has a whole won the Class B Team Sweepstakes. Congratulations!!!!

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, October 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution.

The Awana students from First Baptist Church will be doing Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat on Wednesday, October 26th. From 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. they will be going around town collecting non-perishable items to be given to the food pantry.
