Every October, the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) promotes TeenTober as a nationwide celebration of teen programming and engagement in our public and school libraries. TeenTober combines and replaces YALSA’s previous Teen Read Week and Teen Tech Week celebrations and aims to highlight and promote teen services year-round. Teen services help teens learn new skills, build confidence, and fuel their passions in and outside the library. Library staff are encouraged to use TeenTober to celebrate their teens, promote their services, and raise awareness of the importance of teen services in libraries.

The progress on the library is a continuing process. If you have not driven by the building lately you need to do so, as the cleaned and repaired bricks are wonderful. It looks like the process is going to be on going for at least another week, so sadly I need to say we will not be opening until after October 21st
