WAGNER COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS

Monthly Blood Donation Fact: January is National Blood Donor Month! The month of January is usually a period of critical blood shortages. People stop donating blood during the holidays and when they get sick during cold and flu season. Blood drives also get snowed out during the winter months.

The Wagner Rotary club held a weekly meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. President Rachel Woods called the meeting to order with a rap on the Rotary Bell. Pastor Bill Herman offered a prayer of blessing upon the meal and for our blessings abound.

Brady, Mike and Matthew Petrik were the 3-man team representing Avon Fire Department who brought home the win from the Fire School Water Fights. The trophy is made out of the actual nozzles they used in the water fights.

South Dakotans can check out state park passes from many public and academic libraries across the state through the new Check Out South Dakota State Parks program. The program is made possible through a partnership between South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) and the South Dakota State Library.

BON HOMME COUNTY FOOD PANTRY REMODEL AND EXPANSION

In October of 2001, the Bon Homme County Food Pantry was moved from the Father Cronin Center at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tyndall to its current location in the Old City Fire Hall. Shirley Mann was the food pantry manager under the leadership of the Bon Homme Ministerial Association.
