WAGNER COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS
Monthly Blood Donation Fact: January is National Blood Donor Month! The month of January is usually a period of critical blood shortages. People stop donating blood during the holidays and when they get sick during cold and flu season. Blood drives also get snowed out during the winter months. We thank all the donors for coming out to save lives by donating!
LifeServe Blood Center held a blood drive in Wagner on Tuesday, January 31, and had a GREAT turnout! 33 donors were able to donate and 33 units of life saving blood were collected! Thank you to every donor who participated in the drive and helped to boost the LOCAL blood supply! The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 99 lives! We also had six Milestone Donors and they are listed below! (A reminder to donors that they can easily transfer their lifetime donations to LifeServe! Go to //lifeserve.info/transfer to fill out the form and we will get your donation accomplishments up to date in our system!)
We also celebrate the following donor(s) who hit milestones with their most recent donation: 03 GALLONEER TAMMY THORNTON 02 GALLONEER TYE KJELDGAARD 02 GALLONEER COURTNEY PAZOUR 02 GALLONEER WILLIAM HEERMANN 05 GALLONEER PEGGY EGGERS 02 GALLONEER JOEL KOTAB
Special thanks to Marlene Stone for coordinating the blood drive. Additional gratitude to Wagner Fire Department for the use of the site. We could not help patients in our 29 SD hospitals, including Wagner Community Memorial Hospital/Avera Health, without communities like Wagner and your amazing volunteers and donors!
The information for the next Wagner Community blood drive is listed below.
