AUXILIARY TO MEET OCTOBER 10

Avon American Legion Auxiliary Unit 150 will meet Tuesday, October 10th at 7 p.m. at Avon Public Library. Hostess is Connie Gretschmann. (This is a change from our normal 3rd Tuesday schedule to accommodate the Unit president's travel schedule. Sorry for any inconvenience!)

Happy National 4-H Week!! For over 100 years, South Dakotans of all ages have been loving 4-H! Each year, South Dakota 4-H reaches over 20% of our state's eligible youth with educational programs, activities, and contest to help build the next generation of South Dakota!

LAKE ANDES POSTMASTER RETIRES

After 32 years of working for the USPS, Tammy Rokusek has decided to retire. Tammy was lucky enough to follow in her father’s, Dean Swanson, footsteps. She started her career at the Geddes Post Office in 1991.

Andes Central New Staff Spotlight

comes to Andes Central from the Chamberlain School District where she was first a first-grade teacher and then became the seventh and eighth grade social studies teacher. Eidsness was born and raised in Hartford. She is the oldest of three children.

OCTOBERFEST AT CHOTEAU CREEK

Choteau Creek Brewing Company held their annual Octoberfest this past Saturday, September 30th. The event had an authentic homemade German menu.

HUNTER HARRINGTON’S MEMORIAL RIDE

The Hunter Ray Harrington’s Memorial Ride held their 4th annual eventSaturday September 30th, . Every year since the unexpected passing of their son, Hunter, Tim and Dionne Harrington of Armour have held an annual ride in his honor. Hunter’s dad, Tim, does all the planning for the event.

WAGNER WITH A BIG WIN OVER MOUNT VERNON

The Wagner Red Raiders picked up a big win in Mount Vernon Friday night. The season record now sits at 5-1. The Raiders won by a score of 40 to 6. Defeating Mount Vernon for the first time in school history.
