Choteau Creek Brewing Company held their annual Octoberfest this past Saturday, September 30th. The event had an authentic homemade German menu. The menu consisted of handmade Bavarian Bratz (made by the brewers), Oma’s apple cake, raspberry and poppyseed kuchen, German chocolate cake, German hot potato salad, Jager schnitzel, sauerbraten, and freshly made spaetzle. Music was provided by KJ (Kara Hanan) and the Gregory Polka Band. This year there were several games including men’s and women’s stein hoist, men’s and women’s keg toss and a kraut eating contest. The winner ate 12 ounces of kraut in less than two minutes. It was a beautiful day and a fun event for all.
