A strong whack of the Rotary Bell brought a smaller group of Rotarians to order on the first Wednesday of January 2024. Rotarian Bryan Slaba oversaw the meeting as President Brunsing was absent due to work commitments.

10 Years Ago- 2014 The Bald Eagles stopped on their annual flight at the Fort Randall Dam. Michael Kirwan received his award from the Wagner American Legion for 50 continuous years as a member. Pat and Marlo Stillon lost everything in an overnight house fire.

BON HOMME 4-H JR LEADERS TRAVEL TO PIERRE

Nine Bon Homme County 4-H Jr. Leaders went to Pierre January 17th for a day of learning and civic engagement. They were able to attend part of a House Judiciary Committee meeting and a town hall meeting with District 19 Representative Drew Peterson and House Minority Leader Oren Lesmeister.

LIBRARY NEWS

The library personnel are busy putting the finishing touches on the new library location. The open house will be Wednesday, February 7th 1:00-7:00. Tours of the building, with refreshments being served will be part of the occasion.

Rotary News

Wagner Rotary met on January 24th with no guests present. Pastor/Rotarian Bill Herrmann gave thanks for the warm weather which was starting to melt the huge snowbanks that are everywhere in Wagner. Song leader Gerrit Juffer led the group in singing two verses of Home on the Range.

Wagner Hospital Auxiliary

Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera Auxiliary held their monthly meeting January 24, with nine members present. President Pearl Weber called the meeting to order and members read the auxiliary prayer in unison. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

Greer Post #11 American Legion

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on January 21, 2021 with 25 members in attendance. Commander Clayton Rados thanked the cooks for the delicious meal. Chaplain Don Kotab gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
