JANUARY IS NATIONAL BLOOD DONOR MONTH

Make A Resolution That Can Save A Life!
By

As we welcome the New Year, it's the perfect time to reflect on our goals and aspirations. We all have personal resolutions, but have you ever considered a resolution that not only improves your well-being but also makes a positive impact on your community? This year, we encourage you to make a resolution that can save local lives - by donating blood during National Blood Donor Month!

National Blood Donor Month is observed in January to boost blood donations during a time when they are typically at their lowest. Cold weather, flu season, and holiday activities often lead to a decrease in blood donations, making this an opportune time to raise awareness and inspire action. Let's make January a month of hope, unity, and compassion by ensuring that patients in need have access to the life-saving blood they require. Together, we can create a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals in our community!

LifeServe Blood Center held a blood drive in Wagner on Tuesday, January 30, and had a GREAT turnout! 31 donors were able to donate and 35 units of life saving blood were collected! Thank you to every donor who participated in the drive and helped to boost the LOCAL blood supply! The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 105 lives!

We also celebrate the following donor(s) who hit milestones with their most recent donation: 01 GALLONEER CODY SPRECKELS 02 GALLONEER RICHARD KOKESH 02 GALLONEER DAVID WOODS 04 GALLONEER JAMIE SOUKUP 07 GALLONEER CARL ROBERTS

Special thanks to Marlene Stone for coordinating the blood drive. Additional gratitude to the Wagner Fire & Rescue Team for the use of the site. We could not help patients in our 160+ hospitals, without communities like Wagner and your amazing volunteers and donors!

Sign up for our next blood drive, save a local life and check off that box on your resolutions – it’s a win-win!
