The AHS drama club performed in the SD State One-Act Festival in Brandon Saturday morning. The Drama Club had outstanding critiques from the judges and were given an opportunity to learn more about theater.

Is your child interested in 4-H, but you aren’t sure what the program all entails? The Bon Homme County 4-H Jr Leaders will be hosting Family Fun Night at the 4-H Center in Tyndall (1910 Birch St.) on Monday, February 19th at 6:30 pm.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Feb. 23 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. PLEASE NOTE: Proxy pickup (picking up food for someone unable to attend) is allowed with a completed form.

10 Years Ago – 2014 Gerald and Wilma DeRoos celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. The Avon Science Class held their annual pancake and sausage fundraiser. The Lady Pirates played basketball against Andes Central, Wagner and South Central.

Young people will have the opportunity to learn about financial topics — like earning, saving, spending, sharing and budgeting — in a way that is both meaningful and fun through a new Lake Andes Public Library offering.

10 Years Ago - 2014 The Andes Central elementary student council made a donation of $250 each to the Lake Andes Health Care Center residents, Dakota Senior Meals Program and the Fort Randall Pink Ladies.

The Library Open house is Wednesday, February 7th. We hope that we have seen many of you at our new location. “SNOWY Bingo” begins February 7th and concludes on March 20th. Pick up a Bingo card at the library.
