PROVERBS 23:17 'Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be in the fear of the Lord all the day long.'(KJV) Some times when driving along the highway we can see something that sort of makes us envy the driver of the vehicle we see.

South Dakota is enjoying an unusually warm and dry early spring. Snow geese passed through a couple weeks early, tulips are popping out of the ground and, in what was a relief for thousands of high school basketball fans, the annual threat of a state tournament blizzard never materialized.

The American Legion Auxiliary Greer Unit #11 is honoring Greg Mathis as this month’s Veteran of the Month. Mathis is a Veteran of the Cold War. Greg started his service on April 9, 1975 with the Army. He joined the Army because he thought the military would be a good opportunity for him.

110 years Ago – 2014 Mary Jo Parker was named the new Head Librarian for the Lake Andes Public Library. DiMera Dvorak was awarded the Presidential Scholarship to Dakota Wesleyan University during its annual Presidential Scholarship Day in February.

The Snowy Bingo game at the Library concludes March 20th. We will accept Bingo cards until 7:00 on Wednesday the 20th and draw for the winner of the $25.00 gift card Thursday the 21st. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are doing an activity for Easter.

Collin Dingsor of the University of Sioux Falls was named to the 2023-2024 NSIC Elite 18 award winner for men’s indoor track and field. Collin ran the 60-meter hurdles and the mile relay at the NSIC Conference meet in Mankato, MN on February 24th.
