The Lady Raiders traveled to Alexandria last Tuesday to take on the 11-1 Hanson Beavers. Hanson would jump out to an early 6-0 and take a 9-2 lead half way through the first quarter. Wagner would turn on the gas offensively and score 18 points to take a 20-15 lead going into the second quarter.

The Lady Raiders hosted the Irene-Wakonda Eagles this last Saturday in girls basketball action. Wagner would jump out to an early 24-7 lead after the first and come away with a 67-28 victory. Ashlyn Koupal would record a double-double with 27 points, 17 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

Wagner Bon Homme gymnasts just missed making it to state as a team at the Region meet held in Hot Springs, SD Friday, February 2nd It came down to 3 tenths of a point tonight. These girls beat the final qualifying team in ALL EVENTS except bars.

Bars: Alexys Rueb scored an 8.70 and won the event, Jasmine Gilbert scored a 7.45 and placed 5th, Addison Cuka scored a 6.15, Dusti Laska scored a 3.95, Roper Lhotak scored a 3.50, and Amelia Rathgeber scored a 4.65. Bars still prove to be a struggle for us.

Avon 57 - Scotland 57 Avon Pirates suffered a tough loss to Scotland 57-65 January 22nd.

Avon hosted Scotland Tuesday evening, January 22 where the Lady Pirates dominated taking the win 62-24. Courtney Sees had 18 points and 8 rebounds, McKenna Kocmich had 15 points, Rilyn Thury had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals, and Lila Vanderlei had 3 assists.

The Avon Music Department had to change the date of their Spring Concert due to getting the gym prepped for Prom. The original date was March 21st, but it has been changed to March 18th.

The Andes Central Wrestling team competed at the Wagner Wrestling Invitational Saturday, January 27th. No coaches report at time of print.
