This past weekend, June 15 and 16, Wagner’s American Legion Post 11 baseball team traveled to Creighton, Nebraska to take part in their annual Berry Pepper Tournament.

On Wednesday, June 12, the VFW Post 7319 teeners went to Alexandria to play two games. The 14U team gave up six runs in the second inning. That would be the only inning in which Alexandria would score, but that was more than enough as Wagner would fall by a 6-1 count.

On Tuesday, June 11, Wagner’s American Legion Post 11 team hosted Parkston’s Post 194. Too many Ks at the plate and errors in the field proved to be Wagner’s undoing as they would fall to the visitors by a 9-5 score. Matt Link was the starting pitcher and he went 5+ innings.

On Monday, June 10, Wagner’s Post 7319 VFW Teener teams went to Freeman to play a pair of games. The 14U team dropped the opening contest by a score of 12-3. This one started off well enough as Wagner plated three runs in the top of the 1st inning.

The Southeast Elite took a pair of wins against the Wagner Red Raiders by scores of 16-2 and 14-3 Tuesday night, June 4th. In the first game, the Elite were aided by 15 walks as they jumped out to an early 7-1 lead. Pria Sesler had 2 hits for the Elite.

Wagner traveled to Avon to play the Southeast Elite team where they lost both games, 2-16 and 3-14

Saturday, June 8th two local riders traveled to Watertown where they competed in the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association Region Rodeo. Shana Lensing participated in Pole Bending and Barrels.
