THINKING ABOUT HEALTH Karen R., a 70-year-old Medicare beneficiary living in a mid-size town in Indiana, contacted me recently about her Part D drug coverage. She and her husband both have traditional Medicare, a Medigap policy, and what’s called a stand-alone plan for their drugs.

The performance of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s The Snow Queen will be held Friday, November 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Marty Indian School in the New Gym. The cast of 50 to 60 will be picked from students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The public is invited to attend the performance at no charge.

The book sale at the library is officially concluded. We sold approximately 400 books. We are keeping some of the books at the library, but many are going to have to leave the premises, because of storage restrictions.

Charles Mix VFW Auxiliary #3239 met on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Five members were present (Rose Bucholz, Carla Pesicka, Ardie Lantz, Marilyn Larson and Sue Schultz). The books were audited for July, August and September. President Carla called the meeting to order.

Greer Unit #11 American Legion met October 18 at the Post Home with 13 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.
