The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) Commission increased antlerless tags for the West River deer hunting season nearly 40 percent for 2019 and 2020.
Spring weather is trying the patience of many South Dakota farmers as wet and cool conditions create planting delays across the state.
“For the last two weeks in May, there is high likelihood of some very wet systems moving across the state,” said Laura Edwards, SDSU Extension State Climatologist.
Cow/calf enterprises showed mixed results, according to annual report data recently released. “In 2018, there was a negative return in the cow/calf enterprise, but the backgrounding enterprise showed a positive return for a second year,” according to instructor Lori Tonak.

Southeast Tech’s President’s List for the Spring 2019 semester has been announced. To attain recognition, students must be degree-seeking and have a term GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Among those named was: Dustin McAdaragh, Licensed Practical Nursing.
Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met May 16, 2019 at the Post home with 12 members present. President Juanita Stone called the meeting to order, Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with a prayer from the Legionette.
