Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met May 16, 2019 at the Post home with 12 members present. President Juanita Stone called the meeting to order, Chaplain Kathy Geiman opened with a prayer from the Legionette. The Pledge of Allegiance and American Legion Auxiliary Preamble were recited in unison.

Secretary Barb Kucera read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were approved as read. Linda Youngbluth gave the treasurer's report, which was approved. Community services chairman Margie Stone reported appropriate cards had been sent, a thank you was read from the Leonard Kreeger family. Janice Coleman’s report was read. Membership chairman Norma Horner reported 77 members paid.

Unfinished business: Posters and coloring papers were awarded. First and second places were given to the K-1, K, 1st and 2nd graders. Volunteers to distribute poppies are Barb Kucera, Norma Horner, Margie Stone, Barb Clemens and Linda Youngbluth.

New business: members were asked to bring salads or bars for the lunch for Memorial Day; members are to wear a white blouse and their vests. Convention Delegates are: Kathy Geiman, Linda Youngbluth, Barb Kucera and Janice Coleman. A donation was given to the Cancer Rummage. Lisa Schoenfelder has been working on our constitution and by laws, which was voted on and accepted. Elections of officers: President Juanita Stone, 1st Vice Margie Stone, Secretary Kathy Geiman, Treasurer Linda Youngbluth, Chaplain Margie Stone. A thank you to Lisa Schoenfelder for donating the quarter basket to the Child-Welfare Foundation.

As there was no further business to come before the meeting, Chaplain Kathy Geiman read the prayerforpeace, PresidentJuanita Stone adjourned the meeting.
