GFP asks public to leave animals alone

South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) is reminding people that it is important to leave wild animals alone. “Sometimes people think baby animals have been lost or abandoned, when actually they haven’t,” says Thea Miller Ryan, director of The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls.

SD crop analysis: Profitability in 2018

Overall favorable growing conditions in 2018 contributed to good crops for South Dakota farmers. It certainly was a challenge to get those crops harvested in many areas due to excess moisture and lack of drying conditions.

Prevent tick-borne illness

Head outdoors and enjoy the spring weather, but keep an eye out for ticks to prevent tularemia and other tick-borne diseases, says a state health offi cial. “We see cases of tick-borne illness every year in South Dakota,” said Dr. Joshua Clayton, state epidemiologist for the Department of Health.

Emilio "Mino" Cournoyer was born August 14, 2001 in Yankton to Peggy and Stephen Cournoyer. Classes he is taking this year include: English 12, Dual Credit Math, Personal Finance, Chorus and Government.
