THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAGNER, CHARLES MIX COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA PURSUANT TO DUE CALL AND NOTICE THEREOF, the special January meeting was held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2020 at the Wagner City Hall at 5:30 pm.

At the end of this month, the 62nd annual Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo will be taking place in Rapid City. An estimated 331,000 people from all over the country will descend on Western South Dakota, making it the second largest annual event in South Dakota.

Our local council #2676 had our 2019 Awards Banquet on Saturday January 4th. There was great attendance from members, family and friends. We enjoyed a delicious prime rib supper which was prepared by the knights.

Greer Post#11 American Legion Auxiliary met January 16, 2020 at 8 :00 p.m., with 12 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. The opening prayer was read by Margie Stone. All recited the pledge of allegiance and Auxiliary preamble.

Greer Post #11 American Legion held its monthly meeting on January 16, 2020 at the Post Home. Commander Robert Kucera called the members to attention. Acting Chaplain Mark Wiechmann gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Charles Mix Co Republican Women had their first meeting of the year January 10. The meeting was held at StarBanks Coffee Shop in Platte with 28 in attendance.
