Greer Post#11 American Legion Auxiliary met January 16, 2020 at 8 :00 p.m., with 12 members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. The opening prayer was read by Margie Stone. All recited the pledge of allegiance and Auxiliary preamble. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Treasurers report was given by Linda and approved. All bills were presented and motion was made to pay by Barb Clemens, motion carried. Community service hours were recorded and Margie Stone reported two cards had been sent, one sympathy and one thinking of you. Also Linda reported sending 24 Thanksgiving cards and 24 Christmas cards. A thank you card was received and read from the V.A. in Hot Springs, for the gifts and cards sent. Unfinished business was the soup event. The date has been set and committees are being chosen. Other details will be carried over until next meeting.

Good wishes were said to Kathy Geiman, who is going to Midwinter Conference as Chaplain. New business was thoughts on nominations for member of the year. Also membership dues are due now, second notices will be sent out now and dues are to be sent to Barb Kucera. Membership report was given by Barb as 72 paid of 78. Other business, President Stone read a pamphlet stating as to where certain pins are to be worn on garments. Thank you: the quarter basket was gotten by Marlene Stone and donated back to the bear fund. There being no other business the meeting was closed with prayer Margie Stone and adjourned by President Juanita Stone at 8:30 p.m.
