The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) is currently taking applications to enroll environmentally sensitive agricultural land into perennial cover for 10 to 15 years through the federally funded Conservation Reserve Program (CRP).

The South Dakota State Historical Society-State Archives has added nearly 700 digitized maps and made them accessible online in the South Dakota Digital Archives thanks to an Outside of Deadwood grant from the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission.

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive sponsored by Wagner Community on Monday, January 27 had a fantastic turn-out! There were 36 donors registered and 39 life-saving units of blood were donated. We appreciate everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply!

Indigenous will be inducted into the 2020 South Dakota Rock and Roll Music Association for the Band Award. Indigenous--Born and raised on the Ihanktonwan Nakota Nation in South Dakota, Indigenous was a family band that was formed in 1994 until 2004. It started out as a family band.

Timothy and Nichole Simmermon of Mitchell are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Cheyenne Lee Simmermon. Cheyenne was born January 22, 2020 at 1:35 pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 12.8 oz. and was 20 inches long.
