SALVATION IS NOT JUST FOR THE DAY
Just Thought I'd Ask
PSALM 107:16-21 “For he has broken down the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. Fools because of their transgression (sin), and because of their iniquities (sins) are afflicted. (Pain, suffering or distress) their soul abhoreth all manner of meat: and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses (pain and suffering) he sent his word ( the Gospel) and healed them, and delivered them from their distructions (paid their sins price on Calvary, forgave them their sins, saved them, gave them the promise of eternal life)
Oh that men would praise (give thanks) to the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men.”(KJV) (For all the blessings received from Him since being saved.)
PSALM 107:22 “And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing”(KJV) ( Tell others their testimony of how they were lost and hell bound and how Jesus saved them, now heaven bound for all eternity)
VS-16 is saying that the Lord has broken down the separation from sin and opened the access to heaven to all who believe.
VS-17 calls them “fools” who sin with no care how it effects their soul’s eternal future.
VS-18 tells that they don’t care about their actions and consequently they (without God) are destined to go to hell forever.
VS-19 tells that when they hear the Gospel and it changes their heart they call out for mercy and forgiveness and ask Jesus to save them.
VS-20 says that He saves them from their sins punishment while on the cross.
VS-21 This person should praise God for his salvation and then pronounce it (the redeemed of the Lord should say so) tell others that they can be saved as well.
Our salvation is not just for the day and time we are saved, but is the beginning of a life eternal with Jesus.
Are you saved, are you sharing it?
