AARP Meeting
The Wagner AARP Chapter 962 meeting on January 22, 2020 at 12:30 p.m., was opened with Pres. Jane presiding and leading us in saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America.
Old business: Last months business meeting was read by Sec. Dona. Treasurers report was given by Treas. Janis Nedved. AARP membership dues were paid and membership cards were given out by Treas. Jan. JoEllen sent two birthday cards and one get well card. Motion was approved and correct was made by second by Janis.
New Business: We then enjoyed two master gardeners, Mary Jo Parker and Darlene Dvorak, explaining and showing us the difference between the three cactus plants: the Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Easter cactus plants. They brought dirt and small pots to be plan slips of each of these plants into the pots. Also the Ice plant and a Zebra cactus. Each lady could pick out the kinds of slips that they would like and then plant each plant into a container. It was fun and interesting. A learning experience.
We talked about Valentine’s Day, February 14th. AARP will have Bingo at Wagner Good Samaritan Society on February 13th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was then closed with Roy adjourning and seconded by Sandy.
God bless the United States of America and all other Nations and peoples. This is His world that we live in and He is still in control of all that’s in it including us. Let us all keep this in mind and Him in our hearts and forgive our debtors. May He bless us with love, in our hearts overflowing.
