TEXT-TO-9-1-1

PIERRE, S.D. - Text-to-9-1-1 is now available throughout South Dakota. Wireless cell phone customers in South Dakota can text to 9-1-1 when they can't call in an emergency. The text, like a phone call, will be routed to a local 9-1-1 dispatch center.

The Bon Homme Community Choir is making final preparations for the 2021 Easter Cantata Performances. This year’s cantata is comprised of songs from past cantatas and new contemporary music. Our message is that of “Hope”. In the midst of our struggles and the storms of life, we will overcome.

Wagner Rotary met on Wednesday, March 24th with the ringing of the bell and the Pledge of Allegiance. Rotarian Bill Heerman offered up a prayer of thanksgiving for the day and asked for guidance for all Rotarians to reach out to the community.

DPS RELEASES APRIL SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT LIST

Sobriety checkpoints are planned for 19 South Dakota counties during the month of April. The checkpoints are funded by the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol with the help of local law enforcement.

ABDOUCH SELECTED FOR ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM

Mahli Abdouch, a freshman at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, was selected to the All Tournament Team for the State “AA” Basketball Tournament held at the Sanford Pentagon on March 11-13. She became the first freshman now starter to earn the honor in tournament history.
