Just Thought I’d Ask: WHICH ONE IS TRUTH?
We come again to the holiday most people call “Easter.”
This day can be taught in two different ways.
1--This holiday is celebrated with bunnies that hide eggs from children to find them A) Bunnies are very productive but they have never had eggs--they have live births. SO chicken eggs are colored--and that is what the children are taught at home and at schools all around.
2--This holiday is celebrated with honor and glory for Jesus.
MATTHEW 28: 5-7 “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified. He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay, And go quickly, and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead: and behold, He goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see Him: Lo, I have told you.”(KJV)
As Christians, we call this holiday “Resurrection Sunday.” This holiday is intended to give Jesus the honor and glory for His death on the cross to pay for all man’s sins and to prove He was capable of sins’ forgiveness by being buried in a tomb for three full days and three full nights. By His own power He arose from the grave alive and is alive today.
Do you want your children to believe in bunnies that pass out chicken eggs all around the world in one day, which is impossible to do, or do you want your children to believe the Bible--the TRUTH about Jesus’ resurrection. This holiday would not even be, if it were not for Jesus’ resurrection.
Just think of how things have changed.
Christmas--birth of Jesus Christ to Santa Claus.
Resurrection Sunday--Jesus risen from the Grave to bunnies and eggs.
Thanksgiving--thanking God for all He has done to turkey day.
You must ask yourself--What do we want our children to know and believe?
Which one is the truth to teach the children?
