AVON SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION RESULTS

The Avon School Board Election was held on Tuesday, April 13th. Bridgette Muller retained her seat with 135 Votes (Awarded three year board term.) Craig Vanderlei will fill Lori Cihak's position after receiving 120 Votes (Awarded three year board term.

Library news

The Lake Andes Public Library was notified recently of the library being recognized by Save the Children and First Book during National Library Week by being awarded a $1,000 grant to use to help children in our community.

ANDES CENTRAL'S SPRING CONCERT

On Friday, April 16th Andes Central 6th-12th grade band and vocal presented "The unDinner Show". Due to Covid, they could not perform their Annual Dinner Theatre.

MOHR RETAINS SEAT ON WARD 3

The City of Wagner held an election last week for a councilman for Ward 3. When the ballots were counted, Taylor Mohr retained his seat as councilman for Ward 3 with 35 votes to Ed Stimpson's 15 votes, a 16% voter turn out.

Am. Leg. Auxiliary to Greer Post #11

Greer Unit #11 American Legion Auxiliary met April 15 at the post home with 13 members present and one guest, Jean Hunhoff. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Margie Stone opened with prayer.

Completing tasks outdoors the past couple of weeks has not been easy or pleasant for anyone, and the track and field athletes serve as no exception. But they put on their best faces as they traveled to Avon to compete in some cold, windy, and drizzly conditions this past Friday, April 16.
