My husband is a mechanic. The tools of his trade are important to his work. He has a large toolbox with many drawers lined in soft black padding. His tools lay clean and organized inside each drawer for easy access when he needs the right tool for a job.

The Avon Pirates continue to go unbeaten as they notched another win under their season defeating #1 ranked Gayville-Volin in a close 36-32 game Friday afternoon in Gayville.
For the Pirates, Brady Bierema ran the ball 20 times for 141 yards, while Jaden Stahl added 79 yards on 13 carries.
With the last weekend of September here, many area farmers have begun harvesting their soybean crop. Pictured above the Link family took advantage of the beautiful Saturday afternoon to harvest their field east of Wagner. Fousek Grains reported soybeans are coming in at 40-65 bushels per acre.

Homecoming Week, September 6-10, was filled with excitement at the Avon School. Students and staff were busy with many activities including dress up days, the poster contest, talent show, and the parade.
