The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Girls Cross Country Team of Lexi Schoenfelder and Anna and Eilie DeHaan were the team champions at the Wagner Meet on Monday, September 13. The team scored 11 points ahead of Gregory 16 and Scotland 18 at the Meet held at the Randall Hills Golf Course in Pickstown.

Anna DeHaan led the team finishing 2nd (22:43) with Lexi Schoenfelder in 3rd place (23:19) and Eilie DeHaan 6th (26:21).

Placing tenth in the Boys Varsity and earning a medal was Tony Hansum with at time of 21:56 over a slightly long 5K course.

“The 5K distance was about a tenth of a mile long, noted Coach Larry Lucas. When you factor that in, our race paces per mile are improving and we are beating the runners we have beaten in the past. We want to compete well in the upcoming Meets in Chamberlain, Bon Homme, Platte, Burke, and Parkston,”
