A one-lane temporary bridge south of Spencer on US 281 is now open to traffic over the Niobrara River. The bridge is controlled by a traffic signal. The bridge was damaged when the Spencer Dam was destroyed during the March flooding.

Summer Programming at the Library is in the home stretch with only ten days left as of July 22. But don’t think we don’t have some great activities still planned! It is not too late to join us Monday-Friday, with sessions held at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00. All programming is held at the library.
Last week the Wagner City crew was out early on Main Street repainting the markings. Despite the early start, they were not spared from the excessive heat and humidity that the area has been experiencing.
The Wagner Greer Post #11 was honored as being a Centennial Post and presented with a One Hundred Year Plaque. The Wagner Greer Post #11 was chartered July 7th, 1919.

A large number of visitors were seen each day so the Mobile Disaster Recovery Center in Charles Mix County has been extended again. By keeping the recovery center open, they hope to give everyone an opportunity to come in to register or get answers to their questions.
