The U.S. Senate finally passed the bill that will provide health care and disability compensation to millions of veterans sickened by environmental exposures during their time in service.
With the beginning of school, moms in Prayer will be starting up again. This is a Christ centered prayer ministry made up of Moms and other interested ladies desiring to pray for the students and the school. The organization was started over 30 years ago by Fern Nichols.

The Johann and Hilje Brandt reunion was held on July 10, at Zion Lutheran Church. They had 13 children and 11 lived to adulthood. There were 63 people served at the noon meal. States: IN, AZ, CO, IA, OK and SD supplied relatives.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Aug. 26 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution.
