The Johann and Hilje Brandt reunion was held on July 10, at Zion Lutheran Church. They had 13 children and 11 lived to adulthood. There were 63 people served at the noon meal. States: IN, AZ, CO, IA, OK and SD supplied relatives.

Dale Buchholz catering provided the meal which was followed by family pictures.

President Diane Boheman conducted the busniess meeting and the next reunion was set for the 2nd Sunday in July, 2024. Corresponsence was read from Shirley Busse with an up-date on deaths in their family and from Jennifer Nelson with a thank you from her mother, Jane.

A memorial Serivce was held for people who dies since the last reunion: Myra Klock, Nadine Brandt, Bruce and Dar Gehring, Peggy Busse, Arlan Busse, Herman Koester, Leroy Brandt and Ellen Gramm. Flowers were presented to the families. Elections were held with a

The original 1880's house of Johann and Hilje was moved to Avon in the '20s and is still occupied. Now, the Keith Dykstra family occupies the buildings and the second house on the original homestead. The building plans were made available for the Sears Catalog, Rosebrock house 1 ^1/2 miles away.

Bars, baked goods and drinks were served for the after fellowship.
