The Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 for its regular weekly meeting.
President Rachael Woods welcomed everyone. Rotarian Pastor Bill Heermann offered up thanks.
Rotarian Juffer then led us in singing our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner.
Rotarian Cotton presented the Rotary Minute which was a summarization of Rotary firsts.
President Woods requested the five seniors to introduce themselves and give a brief narrative of their patents, classes and activities they are in as well as what their post high school plans are. The five seniors were: Madison Buck, Corina Lowe, Mackenzie Hollingsworth, Ayva Zephier and Donald Schroeder.
Rotarian Jordan Weber, Sergeant at Arms levied the following fines: $1.00 each for all Rotarians not on the Weber attendance team.
$2.00 for Rotarian Doom for giving Rotarian Juffer guff for his implementation of the sound while he himself hasn’t stepped up to fill the duties as the assistant to the sound leader. Yee who live in glasses houses should throw stones (criticism) $2.00 for Rotarian Jamie Soukup for free marketing efforts.
$2.00 for Rotarian McAdaragh for being underdressed compared to the rest at his table. Must not got the memo to where a nice vest $1.00 for each Rotarians Kathe and Jerry Henke for coordinating outfits, which cost Rotarian McAdaragh his fine.
$3.00 for Rotarian Slaba for his very weak waitering skills while he was clearing the student’s meals off the table. He had to make two trips for what should have been a single trip.
$3.00 for Rotarian Doom for being gone too much, once to Europe and twice to Canada. However this sparked a controversy with Rotarian Slaba who was fined the same amount for poor his poor skill set of waiting table. Rotarian Doom volunteered an additional fine of $7.00 as the trip were that great! This settled Rotarian Slaba down $2.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Patti Frei for attending their daughters “white coat” Medical Scientist completion ceremony.
$20.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Jerry Henke on a great article Barb Pechous wrote involving the proposed Gregory pump station $1.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Juffer for USD Coyote’s Dakota Days win.
$20.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Bill Frei because it looks like “my daughter will be graduating” from college, SDSU.
$5.00 Happy Fine for Rotarians Patti Frei for “our daughter graduating with honors”. $5.00, $5.00, $5.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Doom: One daughter’s daughter call him Papa (grandpa) for the first time Second daughter is expecting Third daughter is getting married $5.00 Happy Fine for Rotarian Patti Frei for going to Brookings twice in a week with the return trip being for HOBO Days to watch the #1 ranked Jackrabbits!!!
Rotarian Kathe Henke’s ticket was drawn for the Queen of Heart, she drew the four of clubs.
Treasurer/Secretary Craig Krsnak reviewed attendance, the Soukup team has six misses, while the Weber team has nine misses. The Queen of Hearts grew to $107.
President Woods then presented a great video on the status of Rotary’s attempt to eradicate Polio.
President Woods, the lead the group in reciting the Four Way Test.
