GAYLE STARKEY- BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in the United States, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Breast cancer does not just affect women. It is estimated that in 2023, 297,790 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.

4-H SOUP KITCHEN/ RECOGNITION EVENT

The Bon Homme 4-H Clubs will host their Annual Soup Kitchen Sunday, October 29th at the 4-H Grounds in Tyndall, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Soups, sandwiches and desserts will be served! Recognition Event will follow, beginning at 1 pm.

CZECH HERITAGE PRESERVATION SOCIETY HOLIDAY PARTY

The Czech Heritage Preservation Society will have their holiday party Sunday, November 5th at the Tabor Community Center. Bring a small try of meat and cheese to share for a light lunch at 11:30 a.m. A great deal of maintenance and improvement has been accomplished at the museum.

FEEDING SOUTH DAKOTA

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Oct. 27 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon.

PRAISE FEST NOVEMBER 5

The third Annual Praise Fest will be held in the sanctuary at Springfield UCC on November 5 at 3 p.m. Join us for a celebration of praise and worship through music and fellowship.

AWANA CLUB TO HOLD 'TRICK OR TREAT SO OTHERS CAN EAT'

Students from the Awana Club at First Baptist Church in Avon will be participating in an event called “Trick or Treat so Others can Eat” Wednesday, October 25. On that night between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
