National Pharmacist’s Day was January 12th so we wanted to get to know your local pharmacy. Wagner is home to a long-standing local pharmacy, James Drug. James Drug services the Wagner, Dante, Lake Andes, Avon, Fairfax, Geddes, Spencer and Butte, NE areas.

The 70th annual SD Picnic in Florida will be held February 24 at 12 noon at the Grace Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Lakeland, FL. All former South Dakotans, either permanent or seasonal residents are invited to attend with their family.

10 Years Ago – 2014 Don Hubbard was presented with a 50 years of continuous Masonic membership pin. Stephanie Nedved and Adam Carlson announced their engagement.

Matias Aungie is one of this week’s spotlighted WCS Seniors. Matias also goes by the nickname Ty. During his years at WCS, Matias has been involved in several extra-curricular activities including basketball for three years and football for two years.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Jan. 26 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. PLEASE NOTE: Proxy pickup (picking up food for someone unable to attend) is allowed with a completed form.
