Katie Moke, 40, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sunday, April 2, in her sleep at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at New Home Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at New Home Cemetery in rural Davison County. Visitation was Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

At the City Council meeting on April 3, representatives from the Department of the Dakotas Purple Heart Chapter presented signs that will be displayed on highways leading into Wagner.

The combination of nerves and excitement were evident amongst the girls and coaches for this first game. The excitement soon pushed ahead of the nerves and the girls slid into a 2-0 lead over the Gayville-Volin Raiders with some confidence and determination in the box to get things started in the top of the 2nd.
