GIVE IT A TRY 4-H DAY!

Is your child interested in 4-H, but you aren’t sure what it has to offer? The Jr Leaders will be hosting Give It a Try 4-H Day at the 4-H Center in Tyndall (1910 Birch St.) on Saturday, May 6th from 10-11:30 am. They are offering a workshop for youth ages 5-13 to learn more about the different project areas involved with 4-H program. Come and learn about showing poultry, rabbits, cats, beef and horses along with all the options for static projects.

PIRATES SUFFER TOUGH LOSS TO VIBORG-HURLEY

The Lady Pirates dropped a slugfest to Viborg-Hurley by the score of 26-22. Pitchers for the Pirates were Macy Voigt and Karlie DeVries. Leading hitters were Macy Voigt with 2 hits and 6 RBI’s including a homerun, Rilyn Thury with 3 hits and 7 RBIs. Kenna Kocmich scored 6 runs for the pirates. The girls drop to 1-4 on the season. The Pirates look to right the ship in a tournament on Saturday in Gayville.

ARE YOU WILLING TO SHARE YOUR LIFE STORIES BEFORE THEY ARE GONE FOR EVER?

The 605 Unity Team is looking for area elders who would be willing to share some of their memories, stories and wisdom with others during the 605 Unity JAM event that is coming to Wagner on Sunday, June 11 at the Wagner Lake Park. The event focuses on the importance and value of unity for our community. Elders understand this probably more than anyone and have opinions and thoughts about such things. They also have interesting and wonderful memories and stories about their life, their families and friends. They also possess stories about those who came before them and there are people in the community who would like to learn from those memories and stories. Will you consider sharing what you know?

THE FOCUS IS ON UNITY

A wide variety of entertainers will be coming to Wagner for the 605 Unity JAM, which is set for Sunday, June 11 at Wagner Lake. The event will provide lots of music, culture, food, arts and crafts, all with the focus being on the importance of developing greater unity in our community. A wide variety of activities for the entire family are being planned and and will help draw attention to the importance and value of working together to help make our community a better place to live and work for everyone.
