Avon Blood Drive Results

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive held in Avon on Thursday, May 24th, had a fantastic turn-out! 20 donors registered and 21 units of life saving blood was donated. Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply! The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 63 lives! There were several milestone donors, who are listed below and a special thanks to Dave and Sandy Brandt and Zion Lutheran Church for sponsoring and hosting the blood drive.

VERT VOIGT

Vert Virgil Voigt, son of E.O.F. and Katie (TerVeer) Voigt, was born September 12, 1928 on a farm near Avon. He passed away peacefully on May 25 at the age of 93 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall.
