Avon's 12U softball season wrapped up last weekend. Our record was 7 wins, 8 losses, and 3 ties. I appreciate all of the kids and their parents for a great season! Special thanks to Tiffany Pelton, Katie Gretschmann and Reece Loewe who helped with practices and all of the Dad’s who helped coach during the games. Also, thanks to the city of Avon for sponsoring us at last weekend’s tournament in Mitchell. I am already looking forward to next year! Team members are: Pria Sesler, Kensley DeVries, Raegan Brandt, Brielle Voigt, Rowan Brandt, Lydia Lane, Sydney Johnson, Emersyn Haenfler, Whitley Wolf, Ashley Soukup, Haven Haenfler, Stella Ratzlaff, Kodi Maggs, Johanna Namminga. The Wagner Labor Day Committee is honored to present our 2023 Labor Day Parade Marshal, Sharon Haar. Sharon and her late husband Harris contributed so much to this community and their recognition is well-deserved. The following interview was recorded and written by Sharon’s son Milton; the Labor Day Committee would like to thank the entire Haar family for their support these last few months.
