The South-Central Chapter of ABATE held their annual Poker Run/Cancer Ride On Saturday, September 23, to support local cancer funds. Although mother nature did not cooperate earlier in the morning before the run, the sun came out just before the start of the event at 11 letting all the riders enjoy their rides that day. There was a good turnout of motorcycles and vehicles that participated, making the run very successful. We appreciate all the individuals and businesses for the tremendous support and donations for the silent auction held after the run. There was also a 50/50 drawing held. The winner graciously donated their winnings back to the cancer fund. Although the final numbers have not be tabulated yet, the South-Central ABATE chapter expects to be able to make generous donations to the Wagner, Lake Andes and Platte cancer funds. We appreciate everyone who helped make this event such a success.
