The Wednesday Wagner Rotary meeting on August 9th began with a nice ring of the Rotary Bell by President Becky Brunsing. She was complimented on her ring. (Ringing the bell is an art at Rotary and is used as a beginning, a warning, or an object of derision).

MOMS IN PRAYER BEGINS AUGUST 22

With the beginning of school, Moms in Prayer will be starting up again. This is a Christ centered prayer ministry made up of Moms and other interested ladies desiring to pray for the students and the school. The organization was started over 30 years ago by Fern Nichols. She, along with one other lady met to pray for their children as they started school. That small beginning has grown into an International Organization that has praying groups in all 50 states and over 120 countries.

WAGNER GRADUATES RECEIVE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

A special official scholarship signing program was held at the Wagner School Board Room, at the Wagner Community School. This special event was held for Glenn Cournoyer and Davion Archambeau, both of whom will be attending school this fall at Mitchell Technical College. Both of these past Wagner graduates have received the Yankton Sioux Tribe and Build Dakota Partnership Scholarship, which is a full ride scholarship and provides all educational tuition, books, fees, tools and computer related to their course of study.
