BEYOND THE BASELINE: UNDERSTANDING TENNIS ELBOW

A few years ago, I was helping with my son’s baseball team. One day, for a routine practice, my role was to hit fly balls for the boys to catch. While I was confident at hitting fly balls, to make things easier for me, I was handed a racquet that, with a fairly easy swing, would launch the baseballs out to the boys. However, after 20 minutes, my elbow was getting sore. More groups of boys needed to rotate through and catch fly balls, so I kept at it. I swung the racquet and the baseballs flew to the outfield over and over. In the end, after less than an hour, my elbow was shot.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on September 18th with 31 Legion members and two SAL members in attendance. A round of applause was given to tonight’s cooks, our own American Legion Auxiliary members The winner of the Queen of Hearts drawing was Jerry Seiner who drew the six of diamonds.

LADY RAIDERS PUMMEL THE WILDCATS

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Kimball on Thursday, September 25th to face the Kimball/White Lake Wildcats. The Lady Raiders picked up another nice win making their record 10-2 with scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-14.
