“Tails and Tales” is the 2021 Children’s Library Summer Program that can be found in libraries across the United States this summer. The programming began at the Lake Andes Public on Monday, June 7th at 1:00. Programming runs in 3 sections each day, first session beginning at 1:00 , 2nd session at 2:00 and the 3rd session at 3:00. Section 1 is geared towards K-2nd grade, Section 2 is geared towards 3-4th grade, and the 3rd section is geared towards 5 grade up.

Those who live or have lived a life in the service of others wear the scars of their chosen professions. Veterans, Law Enforcement officers, Fire Fighters, EMS personnel…those who have served a higher calling to protect, defend and safeguard the lives of others bear a burden that those who have never done the job rarely understand. Alongside these professionals are the Gold Star families who have also paid the price for the higher calling of their loved ones.
