Plans are being finalized for a presentation by Starr Chief Eagle on February 10. Starr will be presenting an informative presentation with fun and educational explanations of Lakota Culture, and an opportunity to learn some Hoop Dancing for the Elementary and again for the Middle/High School at Andes Central. Another presentation will be held for parents/ students/community members beginning at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th at the Andes Central school. Funding for these presentations was obtained by the Lake Andes Carnegie Public Library through a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council.

Riata Bultje, Andes Central’s FFA Secretary & SD District IV Secretary, attended the SD FFA Legislative Breakfast & District Officer training in Fort Pierre last week. District and State FFA Officers gathered together to meet with SD Legislators to promote the FFA mission and to share how agriculture & FFA programs provide students with hands on experience for their future careers.
