The Red Raiders picked up their 5th win of the season defeating O’Neill 43-36. Wagner took an early lead 16-12 after the first period but trailed at the half 24-25. The Red Raiders played solid defense in the third quarter holding O’Neill to just 4 points, Wagner led 35-29 heading into the final period. The Red Raiders held on to win the game 43-36. Ted Slaba burned up the nets with 17 points, Carter Cournoyer added 8, Preston McFayden 7, Glenn Cournoyer 6, Joey Cournoyer 4 and Brady Cournoyer 1.

The Red Raiders let a big lead slip away Tuesday night against O’Neill. Wagner led 18-9 after the first period and 29-13 at half time. O’Neill came charging back scoring 33 second half points defeating Wagner 46-39. Parker Petry led the way for Wagner with 14 points, Brady Cournoyer added 11, Christian Doom and Deshawn Sully each scored 4, Braxton Knudsen and Treyson Zephier each scored 3.

The Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera sponsored an 11th annual 8th Grade Career Fair on Thursday, January 20 at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Partnering with the South Dakota Department of Health, the event also included “Camp Med Lanes”, which featured several different healthcare career choices.
