Eleanor Emelia Johannsen (Buchholz) was born March 9, 1942, in Hendricks, MN to the parents of Julius and Elsie Buchholz. Eleanor lived on the family farm through high school, at which time she attended Mankato State University. She majored in Physical Education with a minor in English.

Randall “Red” Johnson, 75, of Sioux Falls, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m.

Natalie “Ibobdu Win” E. Medicine Bear, 74, of Lake Andes died Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Tuesday, November 21 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner.

JoLene Bywater, 81, of Schuyler, Nebraska passed away November 22, 2023, at CHI Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 28, at Svoboda Funeral Home, Schuyler, Nebraska.

Mitchell Bertsch died in a tragic single vehicle accident September 24, 2023. He was 29 years old. Mitch was born September 7th, 1994 in Bellflower, California. His parents are Rick Bertsch and Lynn Bloor. Rick was born in Wagner. Lynn was born in Los Angeles, California.

Kenneth 'Butch' Meyer, 76, of Mitchell, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28 at 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be Wednesday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m., at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Shirley Mae Broz, 88, of Wagner died Monday, November 20, 2023 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell. Funeral services were Monday, November 27 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Wagner. Peters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl Ann Anderson, age 71, went peacefully to meet her Lord Thursday, November 16, 2023. Cheryl’s Celebration of Life was held Saturday, November 25th at Clever Barn in Road Clever, MO. She was born September 15, 1952, to Joseph and Betty (Hoyer) Bren, one of nine children.

Funeral services for Leo Wayne Spradlin were held Monday, November 27 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Allen Vacknitz, age 88, died Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall. A Funeral Mass was held Friday, November 17 at St. Leo Catholic Church, with Fr. Darin Schmidt, celebrant. Interment was in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Tyndall.
